Definitions

  • A data container without file properties allocated within another file such as a graphic, MS Word, or MS Excel file (having the properties of that object), typically represented by an application-specific icon in the body of any TIFF'ed content. This includes information that is contained in a source file and inserted into a destination file. Once embedded, the object becomes a part of the destination file. [1]
