- A storage medium capable of storing large amounts of data. Disk types include magnetic disks (both hard disks and floppy disks) and optical disks.[1]
- A magnetic floppy or hard disk.[2]
- Round, flat storage media with layers of material which enable the recording of data.[3]
- It may be a floppy disk, or it may be a hard disk. Either way, it is a magnetic storage medium on which data is digitally stored. A disc may also refer to a CD-ROM.[4]
