A compression technique/format that reduces a file generally, about 5:1 over RLE and 40:1 over bitmap. For example, at a 300 bpi scan rate, the approximate storage requirements are: Size Raw RLE Group 4 A 1MB 200K 40K B 2MB 400K 75K C 4MB 820K 150K D 8MB 1.6MB 300K E 16MB 3.2MB 580K.[1]
