Kilobyte
- The equivalent of 1,000 (actually 1,024) bytes. Indicates (1) size of the storage area on a disk, such as 32KB = 32,768 bytes, or (2) amount of main memory (RAM) in the computer, such as 640K = room to store 640,000 bytes of instructions.[2]
- One thousand bytes of data is 1K of data.[3]
