On the heels of publishing EDRM’s most popular whitepaper ever, the IGRM team has already started another – this one focused on information governance stakeholders. July 2014 Highlights

\r\nOn July 30, EDRM hosted a webinar sponsored by LexisNexis, “Easing the pain of document review.”  Past EDRM webinars can be viewed here.\r\n\r\nEDRM’s Advisory Committee and Provisional Board continued work on transition to a non-profit 501 (c)(6) industry association. The goal is to complete the transition by the end of 2014.\r\n\r\nEDRM’s Data Set team continued work on a case study in which the EDRM Privacy & Risk Reduction Model (PSRRM) was used by a large corporation to develop work flow to identify PII during an archives migration effort.\r\n\r\nEDRM’s Data Set team also continued work on a micro-dataset project with the goal of developing a number of small data sets containing a variety of file formats for testing and validation purposes.\r\n\r\nEDRM’s Metrics team is pursuing additional budget calculators and developing a metrics maturity model aimed at providing benchmarking guidelines.\r\n\r\nEDRM’s Native Files team is continuing to refine the Encapsulated Native File (.ENF) schema and develop guidelines for redaction of native files. The team will also is focusing on finalizing the EDRM XML 2.0 schema.\r\n\r\nEDRM’s IGRM team is developing stakeholder viewpoint whitepapers to highlight expectations and obligations of parties involved in developing information governance policies and procedures.\r\n\r\n

\r\nAdditional EDRM teams are working on processing standards, email processing and hashing standards, dark data, and challenges of new technologies including guidelines on social media and cloud-based systems.\r\n\r\n
