Spring 2016 EDRM Update

Issue 30 – April 15 2016

Poet and dramatist Richard Hovey penned the words, “Spring in the world! All things are made new!” At EDRM we are making things new, and making news, too.

New Initiatives, a New Look, and New Members

There’s still time to  join us at the 2016 EDRM Spring Workshop, Monday April 18th. All EDRM and ACEDS members are welcome to participate in the planning of new working group initiatives in electronic discovery and information governance for 2016-2017. Bring your ideas and help build the future of EDRM. If you are not yet an EDRM member, this is a great opportunity to get involved.

February and March events included the 5th Annual ASU-Arkfeld eDiscovery and Digital Evidence Conference, the 4th Annual UF Law EDRM E-Discovery Conference, as well as sponsored webinars on the ‘Third Wave of eDiscovery’, Analytics in eDiscovery with LexisNexis DiscoveryIQ, and a look at Thomson Reuters Discovery Point. EDRM webinars are available for viewing on demand on the EDRM webinar channel.

A new, detailed EDRM diagram, including the Information Governance reference model (IGRM) was an instant hit. Downloadable at no charge from edrm.net, this 24″ x 36″ poster can be printed by your commercial printer or by any online quick-print service. A 2nd PDF of the same image, best for screen viewing, is also available for download.

Above all, we salute the ideas and talents of our EDRM members who keep EDRM vibrant and innovative. Please join us in welcoming our new member organizations and individuals.

Regards,

George Socha and Tom Gelbman
