  • Term for a code used to designate a case-specific issue. Issue codes are used to maintain consistency, eliminate spelling errors, and speed up search queries.  1
  • Issue codes are used to classify documents as being relevant to one or more of the case issues. Case issues are the things about the case that need to proved during the litigation.
