Negative Predictive Value (NPV)

Definition(s)

The fraction (Proportion) of Documents that are identified as Non-Relevant by a search or review effort, that are in fact Non-Relevant. The complement of Precision; that is, Negative Predictive Value is computed the same way as Precision when the definitions of Relevant and Non-Relevant are transposed. 1
