Precision

Definition(s)

  • Precision measures the number of truly responsive documents in the retrieved set of responsive documents. See also, Recall.
  • The fraction of Documents identified as Relevant by a search or review effort, that are in fact Relevant. Also referred to as Positive Predictive Value. 1
  • Precision is the proportion of retrieved documents that are responsive. 2
