Definition(s)

  • The fraction of Documents in a Population that are Relevant to an Information Need. Also referred to as Richness or Yield. 1
  • The richness or proportion of responsive documents in a collection. More broadly, the prevalence refers to the proportion of one kind of item in a population of items. 2
